In August 2005, our team established the world’s first peer-led Youth Quitline, providing smoking cessation counselling service to youths aged 25 or younger. The Youth Quitline was awarded the “Outstanding Health Promotion Project” in 2011 and the “10th Health & Medical Research Fund Anniversary Awards” in 2021 by the Food and Health Bureau. Since 2012, we have been a partner of the WHO Collaborating Center for Smoking Cessation and Treatment of Tobacco Dependence.
